A Little about the Artist:
The art I create is a celebration of love and happiness. It is a reflection of my heart. It is the key to my secret garden, my way down the rabbit hole, my looking glass. Every piece was inspired by a person, thought or a feeling. A favorite song. A favorite place. A moment in time.

I have collected license plates for years. One day I picked up a 50 year old pair of tin snips and started cutting one. At first my designs were simple. Words and names mounted on whatever piece of wood I could find. Quickly, I found out that I could cut just about anything out of license plate tin, even though I can not draw. I started creating animals, flowers, trees. I started using tin from an old chicken roof. My Dad gave me a bunch of old barn wood....I was hooked. Vintage bottle caps, a piece from a tambourine, a crushed and rusty piece of who knows what that I found on the ground, all become part of my work. I love working with salvaged material and breathing new life into something old, broken or rusty.

I hope that when people see my work they will get a glimpse of who I am. I hope that it triggers something inside of them and makes them smile or even cry. Maybe they will even see their own reflection looking back at them.
