"Exchange" Ceramics Exhibit
Featuring five regional clay artists, the exhibit centers on the "exchanges" achieved through collaboration, mixing ideas, or the synthesis of a ceramic vocabulary. Deborah Harris and Marsha Kitkowski join forces to create 100 porcelain tea bowls, which were passed back and forth at the different stages of making. Joy Tanner and Teresa Pietsch are residents at the Energy Xchange, a Burnsville, NC, group studio where the interplay of ideas, and discussion between artists, is fostered. Stephanie Martin employs imagery from nature and fashion model sketches to explore a relationship and narrative between the two. FREE admission.

"O’ Say Can You See" Installation by Laura Poitras
The installation features a projection of the imagery from Ground Zero in 2001, with audio recorded weeks later at the Yankees’ come-from-behind Game 4 World Series victory on October 20. Poitras says, "O’ Say Can You See is a meditation on loss and revenge." Interviews with recently released detainees from Guantanamo Bay are presented on flat screen monitors, adding new layers of information and emotion about the War on Terror. FREE admission.

"Know More Nothing" Art Exhibit
Collaboration between artists Jason E. Osborne and Alex Mignolo. The multi-media exhibition includes paintings, sculpture, strange objects and the premiere of the first edition prints of the short story "Know More Nothing," written by Mignolo and illustrated by Osborne. FREE admission.

"Land, Sea and Sky in the Nineteenth Century" Aft Exhibit
Anchored by Alfred Thompson Brichter’s painting "At the South Head, Grand Manan," an installation of land-and-sea landscapes from the permanent collection showcases the major landscape painting styles of the 19th century, particularly the Hudson River School, Tonalism and the Barbizon School.
