Do you know how to prevent Identity Theft? The truth is that you can take all the precautions and it can still happen.  A few years ago I opened up my online banking account to pay bills and realized someone had conveniently subtracted my pending bills from the total balance and emptied out the remainder of my account. It took me a year to clear up everything and it was a draining experience.  Now I have protection from a company that monitors my credit (let me know if you want the info).
