August 11 - 14, 2011 14th Annual North Carolina Gay and Lesbian Film Festival Since its inception in 1995, the NCGLFF has become the second largest gay and lesbian film festival in the Southeast, attracting as many as 10,000 patrons yearly. July 15, 2011 - September 10, 2011 "Exchange" Ceramics Exhibit Featuring five regional clay artists, the exhibit centers on the "exchanges" achieved through collaboration, mixing ideas, or the synthesis of a ceramic vocabulary. Deborah Harris and Marsha Kitkowski join forces to create 100 porcelain tea bowls, which were passed back and forth at the different stages of making. Joy Tanner and Teresa Pietsch are residents at the Energy Xchange, a Burnsville, NC, group studio where the interplay of ideas, and discussion between artists, is fostered.
