March 21, 2012 - August 31, 2012 "Fragments From Another Life" Photography Exhibit Rhonda Klevansky, a South African photographer, writer and documentary filmmaker, illustrates the plight of political asylum seekers. Klevansky’s portraits, taken between 2000 and 2002, feature refugees holding personal items from their home countries, such as vases, books of poetry and music boxes to traditional clothing. Yet "Soul Souvenirs" is not only about music. The exhibit will also touch on radio and television, record stores and night clubs, local high schools and churches, and even the civil rights and black power movements of the era.
